P.A. has been providing legal
counsel to its clients since 1989.
Michael F. Lax, one of the Firm’s
founding members, and Thomas C.
Vaughan, Jr. partnered in the Firm
after practicing with one of the
oldest and largest law firms in
Arkansas. Audrey R. Evans joined
the Firm in 1991, and remained a
partner until she was appointed
United States Bankruptcy Judge for
the Eastern District of Arkansas in
2001. Grant E. Fortson joined the
Firm as a partner in 1998, and
Phyllis M. McKenzie joined the Firm
as a partner in 2001. Most
recently, Roger D. Rowe joined the
Firm as a partner in 2003, after
practicing 17 years with one of
Arkansas’ largest and oldest law
firms.
Mr. Lax
and Mr. Vaughan maintain practices
focusing on the areas of taxation,
estate planning and the
representation of clients in
business matters. Mr. Fortson and
Mr. Rowe maintain practices that
focus on civil litigation,
representing both business and
individual clients in a variety of
matters in both state and federal
courts. Ms. McKenzie maintains a
practice focusing primarily on the
representation of creditors in
bankruptcy proceedings and other
business related matters.
The Firm offers its
clients depth of training and
expertise across the broad range of
its attorneys’ practice areas. Two
of the Firm’s six attorneys have
advanced law degrees in the area of
taxation. Three are Certified
Public Accountants. The Firm’s
attorneys are supported by an
experienced staff who work closely
with the attorneys to provide the
most efficient and effective
representation possible for our
clients’ most important matters. |
